Backstory
Iris' Parents have always made sure that she was the best of the best, no matter what. Even if it meant that the relationship with each other kept on getting weaker and weaker. And because of her parents, Iris has become more and more independent and more able to do things on her own, since they were never there to actually be a parent to her, a good one for that matter.
She had done everything on her own. She had learned to use the oven and stove so she could make food at the age of 9. Also she was able to distract herself from the fighting and yelling that was going on by learning new spells and educating herself more on the Wizarding World that is right at her fingertips. Her independence has caused her to become one of the smartest people in her muggle classroom and she wants to have top marks when at the Wizarding School.
Iris is an only child so she doesn't have to deal with the pressure of having to take care of siblings as well as herself. That has gotten her far, it has gotten her far enough to the point that she feels that she would be just fine on her own at Hogwarts. She never thought that she would be able to get into the wizarding school, but she did, with no help from her parents.
Speaking of her parents, Jasmine and Vincent Davies, they went to Hogwarts as a kid and they were the top of their classes. As well as that, they were the both the most popular kids at this school. So they expected a lot from her, and by that I mean A LOT. They were Slytherins as well, so she needed to get into Slytherin or her parents wouldn't let her come back home when on holiday. Her parents are also apart of the Death-Eaters, so she has known most of the Slytherin students since she was little and she is bound to become one of them soon.
She is so excited to be apart of Hogwarts. Her favorite class that is available at Hogwarts is Astronomy. She has always loved looking at the night sky and the stars, since that is what she would spend her free time doing. At night, she would always sneak to the bay window in her bedroom and watch the stars until she was fast asleep on the small, cushioned bench on the bay window.
