Backstory
While in school, I was sorted into Hufflepuff house. I was the daughter of two half-bloods. My mother was an American Witch who had come to Hogwarts on a foreign exchange student program that was newly started to promote unity in the Magical Community. The experiment failed as the exchange students just weren't accepted into the local culture. My mother went back home with a secret: me. When I turned eleven, I received two letters. One from Ilvermorny and one from Hogwarts. Though, I lived in the U.S., I was also a British citizen. I chose Hogwarts and graduated successfully. As I attended the school, though, I learned of the the story behind how I came about. As it turns out, I am a child born from violence. I hope there is no need to further explain what I mean by this. Discovering this changed my views on a lot of things, but I also found tolerance. I had it already, but I became abundant with it. I began to wonder at a world where Muggles and Magic Folk lived in unity without Magic being a secret. I lived in a Muggle community and used my magic, but not out in the open. I proudly proclaimed to being a Witch. Of course, the Ministry of Magic did not like this. I actively spoke out about their intolerance and was detained on several occasions; held in a cell guarded by a Dementors. I did end up serving some time in prison, but that is the life of an activist. Since being released, I work underground and sometimes publish my articles. Being an activist doesn't earn the gold, though. So to earn that I do odd jobs or the occasional server job.
