Valora Holly

Backstory

Valora Holly is beginning her first year as a Professor's Assistant at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and was sorted into Slytherin. Her responsibilities include teaching defensive magic lessons to first and second-years, assisting her professors in lessons, and assisting in the care of the magical creatures currently on the castle grounds, while continuing her magical studies in Charms and Defensive Magic, Care of Magical Creatures, Ancient Studies & Runes, and Mythology.

Prior to her time at Hogwarts, Ms. Holly traveled the world as a Dragonologist, studying dragon behavior and lifestyle in many different countries in the North, Central, and South Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia. In 2016, Ms. Holly took a 6-month apprenticeship under Charlie Weasley in Romania, where she lived alongside many species of dragons day-in and day-out and experienced them in their natural habitats.

In 2004, Ms. Holly received her letter of admission into the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where she was sorted into House Thunderbird. Her wand is made of dark ebony wood, 12 and 3/4 inches, and contains a dragon heartstring core. During her time at Ilvermorny, Ms. Holly received high marks in all subjects and chose a specialized career path in Mythology to pursue her life-long interest of dragons.

Ms. Holly is a Texan at heart and constantly visits the great state of Texas to see her non-magical parents, Don and Melody. She currently resides in the United Kingdom with her pale orange tabby cat, Squeakers, though she can easily be found wandering the streets of great cities around the world, such as New York City, Rome, and Paris in her free time.
