Backstory

Spending seven years in Hogwarts as a Slytherin, you hear a lot about the Dark Arts. Indeed, many of my housemates have shown interest in them, but most only superficially. Some wanted to use them as tools to achieve their goals, others were simply trying to show off, act tough. But I was different. I was fascinated by them. In my sixth year at Hogwarts, in 1996-1997, when Professor Severus Snape was our Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, he opened the door for me that led me to where I am now. He described the Dark Arts like no one else before him in my time at Hogwarts, I had goosebumps all over me during his speech. Ever since then, I spent the majority of my time researching and experimenting with the Dark Arts, and it became my career, also. But make no mistake, I am no dark wizard. I have no interest in using the Dark Arts for self-gain, like Grindelwald, the late Lord Voldemort, and even my uncle, who was a Death Eater, did. All I want, is to learn more, as much as I can, to quench my infinite curiosity and to benefit not just me, but the entire Wizarding World.
