BackstoryI am one of the few muggleborns, who didn't get their Hogwarts invitation letter due to the muggleborn wizard records being destroyed in the Ministry of Magic many years ago (by You-Know-Who).
So, I was raised as a normal muggle child and went to an ordinary muggle school. After school I worked some years as a high-school teacher (math, science, PE). For five years now, I am employed at a science magazine as a photographer, and since then I travel around the world taking pictures of the most beautiful and interesting regions of the Earth.
Then, one month ago (I still can't believe it!), I got the Hogwarts invitation letter! Apparently, the Ministry of Magic did some researches and succeeded in identifying some muggleborn witches and wizards whose records were destroyed. Now, I finally understand many things, that happened around me in all these years. Sometimes, strange things happened that I could not explain by myself. And when I was traveling around the world to document and take pictures of special landscapes and castles, there were some places where I suddenly wasn't in the mood anymore for getting closer and investigating it more in detail. Now of course I know, that they must have been magic places that were prevented from other people by spells.
Even though, I (strictly speaking) don't have the appropriate age for the Hogwarts school anymore, Hogwarts allowed me to join anyway. And this is still so amazing. I still can't believe that I am given the opportunity to learn magic and everything about it. I am looking forward to my first lessons!
