Backstory

When I first arrived at Hogwarts I was so excited for the Sorting Ceremony because I already knew I was going to be sorted into Ravenclaw, I just didn't realize that I would be so close to a hatstall. It took the sorting hat about four and a half minutes to sort me into Ravenclaw, and after the 3rd minute, my palms were sweating, and I thought maybe I didn't belong in the Wizarding World at all and my letter was a fluke. Thankfully it was just the sorting hat taking its time to deliberate, because once I heard it yell "RAVENCLAW!" I knew I was meant to be there. Nobody except my closest friends know this, but the sorting hat took so long because it thought I was well fitted for all four houses! I suppose it's a good thing to have a variety of traits however it sometimes keeps me up at night, wondering what would have been had I been sorted into another house. Being a muggleborn, I didn't know much about Hogwarts or any magic at all for that matter other than the brief information I read in "Hogwarts: A History" on the Hogwarts Express. Thankfully my fellow Ravenclaws and a few Hufflepuffs helped me in my first year and soon enough it was like I was born a witch. I definitely could not have survived my first few days of Hogwarts without the friends I've made. For example, once I arrived at Hogwarts I misplaced one of my textbooks for charms class (which rarely happens) and one of the fourth year Hufflepuffs came along and taught me the summoning charm and thanks to him I made it to class on time. Many muggleborns are lucky, their parents being quite accepting of their children being announced as a with or wizard. However, when I got my letter my dad kept it hidden from me for weeks because he didn't approve of magic whatsoever. Thankfully, my mum convinced him to let me go, giving me only two days of preparation, and I was able to attend Hogwarts. As for classes, I am rather talented at Charms, Potions, Astronomy and History of Magic, and Professor Flitwick tells me I am a charms prodigy (which I won't deny). I am always looking to make friends, as I usually end up going on adventures alone besides my owl, Neige, French for snow. Looking forward to an exciting year at Hogwarts! Things are never dull with me.
