Chapter 6
Brooke woke up to tons of feathers scattered across the common room floor. Theo was passed out on the ground, and Draco was near the staircase, covered in pillows. "Jeez. We went hard," Brooke said quietly to herself. Brooke got up, and went to the restroom to get ready for the day. She went over the plan in her head. She was to spend a week in every house. First Slytherin, then Ravenclaw, next Hufflepuff, and lastly, Gryffindor. Then she was given two days to think it over. Brooke was given some Slytherin robes to try on. Brooke put the robes on, combed her hair, and left the room. She found Theo and Draco just waking up, completely in awe with the mischeif they had caused. Brooke walked up to them. "How do I look?" She asked timidly. "Like a true Slytherin," Theo asked. Brooke smiled. "Do you have your schedule?" Draco asked. "I do," Brooke said, taking a slip of paper out of her pocket. "Perfect. You have pretty much the exact schedule as us," Draco said. "What do you mean, pretty much?" Brooke asked. "You just have History of Magic with the fifth years," Draco said. Brooke nodded. Theo led the way out of the common room, and they attended all their classes together. When the time came to split up, Theo and Draco left her at the Grand Staircase. "Go up a staircase, then turn left, then the second right is HOM. Good luck," Theo said. Theo went back down the staircase, and Draco went to the right. Brooke was all alone. She continued up the stairs as she was told to, when she bumped into someone, knocking all their books out of their hands. "Oh gosh! I am so sorry!" Brooke said. The person looked up. He was a boy, about the age of sixteen. "No worries. Needed to get new schoolbooks somehow," The boy said. Brooke wanted to laugh, or grin even, but the fact about half of his textbooks were lying on the floor, about 60 feet down on the ground, broken, was a little unsettling. "I'll pay for them. Let me know when you are going to get new ones," Brooke said. "That's quite alright. I'm perfectly able. But thank you for the thought," The boy said. Brooke smiled. "I'm Brooke," She said after awhile. "I'm Lucas. But all my friends call me Luke. Something tells me we will be terrific friends," The boy said. Brooke looked down at his red robes. "You are a Gryffindor?" Brooke asked. It wasn't really a question. It was more of a reassuring answer that she wanted. "Yes I am. And proud of it too," Luke said. "Maybe I'll see you when I'm in the common room," Brooke said. "Maybe," Luke said. Brooke smiled. "So. What class are you going to?" Luke asked. "History of Magic," Brooke said. Luke scoffed. "Good-luck staying awake," Luke said with a soft laugh. Brooke grinned at him. Something about his laugh was so admirable. Brooke looked into his blue eyes. He had brownish blonde hair, covering his ears. He didn't wear a long black robe; he just wore the gray oversirt, and the rest that was required. He looked totally different without it on, but Brooke thought it was a good idea. She was getting a little hot. "Hey, if you see my sister, Alexia, in the Slytherin common room, do you mind saying hello for me? Haven't seen her in ages," Luke asked. "Of course," Brooke replied. Luke then walked her up to History of Magic, and departed to go to Divination.
