• Horses hate constant change. They want a predictable day. Constant change can lead to lots of stress.


• Like humans, horses hate working day and night. Those who drill their horses day and night will get a sour horse. Remember to give your horse plenty of relaxation as well.


• Horses also don't like when you act frustrated towards them. When you're riding, and you keep trying and failing to execute a trick, maybe because your horse keeps misstepping, you will probably feel frustrated towards your horse. Just stop for a moment, take a few deep breaths, pat your horse, and continue with that renewed energy.


• Horses definitely also hate aggressive handling. It might get the job done, but you will get a fearful horse.
