Lesson 5) The Importance of Concentration
Chapter 5
- Concentration is the act of focusing your mind on the target and desired effect of a spell.
- Some spells require more concentration than others.
- Concentration helps shape your will and direct the flow of magic.
- Stray thoughts and distractions can interfere with concentration.
- Meditation can improve focus and concentration.
- Concentration should be solely on the spell at the moment it takes effect.
- Visualization and additional thoughts or emotions may be needed for certain spells.
- Haphazard concentration can lead to unintended or incomplete results.
- Spell modifiers are added to the end of a spell to modify its target or effect.
- Not all spells can be modified.
- The Sunlight Charm creates a bright beam of directed light with varying intensity based on willpower and requires high concentration.
- Care must be taken with the Sunlight Charm to avoid vision damage.
- The Dancing Lights Charm conjures multiple floating lights, and concentration is needed to control and maintain them.
- The number of orbs and control depends on the caster's concentration abilities.
