The first way of assigning values is by the Agrippan method. This is based off the Latin alphabet. This method only uses numbers 1-9.

The second way of of assigning values is by the Chaldean method. This is based off the Hebrew alphabet, while equating each Hebrew letter with a Latin letter. This method only uses numbers 1-8.

Since the Agrippan method is easier to use and is more popular we will use it from here on out unless otherwise specified.
Now we proceed to calculate different "numbers" with these values. Each "number" corresponds to an area of a person's life or personality.
Heart Number
The first "number" is the heart number. The heart number is calculated by using only the vowels from a name. For instance, let's calculate Harry Potter's heart number:
