Backstory
Hi, I'm Levania Kepler, a first-year Slytherin.
I come from a family that deeply encourages the use of telescopes and values knowledge and the use of magic for a greater purpose, which is to always seek the truth, regardless of whether it goes against common sense. Although we have maintained our lineage for a little over four hundred years, we have never endorsed the pureblood ideology that has always been present. In fact, we intentionally and actively engaged with Muggles, despite it being against the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy of 1692 (which my grandma always told me was largely due to Johannes' actions during the Inquisition).
I find it intriguing how magic and science have been perceived throughout Muggle history. Despite their initial disbelief in magic, Muggles are often captivated by it and pursue it intensely. However, upon its discovery, there is an immediate fear of disrupting the familiar order, leading to swift rejection. Even as time passes, there remains a reluctance to engage with it, and the truth often remains hidden until someone risks everything to reveal it.
The Keplers have always fought to ensure that the truth is revealed, even if it causes disturbances in both worlds. Johannes Kepler, who played a significant role in Muggle history through science while also being a skilled wizard who had to keep their abilities secret due to the Inquisition, imparted an important message to their descendants over the years: Though we may be different, we inhabit the same world governed by the same beautiful laws.
Curious facts about me:
- I love spending time in the Astronomy Tower, but if I'm not there, you may find me reading a Divination book in the Slytherin common room.
- Sometimes I deliberately get lost just to take a ride on the Knight Bus.
- The Sorting Hat took a while before realizing that I didn't quite belong in Ravenclaw, suggesting instead that my place was in Slytherin.
- I also love cheering for the actual best Quidditch team in Hogwarts (Thanks for that, old Hat!)
