Backstory
Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Ava Moretti grew up with elegance, intellect, and expectation.
Her father, Lorenzo Moretti, is a high-ranking official in the Department of International Magical Cooperation within the Ministry of Magic-a man known for his sharp diplomacy and even sharper ambition. Her mother, Isabella Moretti, a former Ravenclaw and celebrated magical historian, passed away when Ava was eight, leaving her father to raise her alone amidst the polished halls of influence and political secrecy.
Knowledge and poise had been instilled in Ava since she was young.
Her father's job often took them between Italy and the UK, exposing Ava to both the European wizarding elite and more traditional British magical circles. It wasn't long before whispers of the "Minister's Italian protégé" followed her everywhere she went. While some saw her as privileged, others noticed her remarkable focus-the way she soaked up spells, history, and languages with a quiet determination few could match.
At Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat barely grazed her head before declaring Slytherin.
It was a choice that made perfect sense: Ava's ambition, resourcefulness, and cool intellect fit seamlessly among the emerald banners of her House. Yet, unlike some of her more openly cunning peers, she carried herself with an understated grace-a calculating patience that often made others underestimate her.
While Ava puts on an ice queen veneer, inside she can't help but feel the weight of her father's name upon her shoulders. She knows every move she makes can either elevate or tarnish the Moretti name.
It's the reason her circle is small, and so are those she trusts. But behind that polished front is a fire from her mother, a quiet yearning to prove her success indeed has nothing to do with her father.
