Backstory
Name: Rowena Ambiglow
House: Slytherin
Wand: Blackthorn wood with a dragon heartstring, 11¼ inches with unyielding yet responsive flexibility.
Patronus: ???
Backstory:
Rowena hails from a long line of slytherins and ravenclaws. Coming from a rather surprisingly open and warm family, they’re rather unknown in nature. Potion making is their bread and butter, though selling it they leave to ambitious shopkeeps. Think family outings that are creating potions, collecting materials and teaching them young. Of course, prideful as she is, Rowena wants everything to do with it and beyond: the young slytherin dreams of her own shop one day. Still yet, she’s only 11, meaning there is much to learn. Unsurprisingly, she’s well aware of this fact. Ambitious to learn for her dreams, but also keep her options open.
Fun Facts:
- Rowena was close to being a hat stall. At four minutes and twenty two seconds, the choices were between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. The hat found her too multifaceted, ambitious, curious and overall fitting for both houses.
- Rowena is a great pain about absorbing knowledge. Sometimes, all she does is learn, other times, she doesn't remember a single thing. Her family dared think she was cursed, until a squib family member that is a so-called “Psychologist” has “diagnosed” her with ASD. They were all fairly calm about the fact, considering it didn’t change her other than knowing a term for what is going on. Instead of freaking out about it, most of them found themselves wondering if this was a family thing after all, and made sure to help her find out how to get ready for Hogwarts within the realms of autism.
- ooc: I have many great plans for Rowena! :) Her post hogwarts self is already a fleshed out OC, but this website seems fun, and it will be a great balanced distraction from my STEM degree… I’ve no idea how long it’ll take me to go through every single thing I planned, but if you wish to connect in general about all sorts of things (HP or otherwise) you can reach me via owl at ohgodohfrick8705@gmail.com (be it for in character things, i do not mind an owl either!)
