Backstory

Simon was born and raised in a wealthier region of the North Eastern United States, famed for more Eldritch occurrences being regular there. He was never an outgoing type, though overconfident might have been a word used to describe him. As he grew up he began learning magic from a singular mentor figure, while gaining a Doctorate in Political Science from a muggle university. While he lacks the formal education that most wizards have, Simon would describe himself as Anti-traditionalist and a fan of collecting knowledge regardless of how it’s available to him. Planning on spending his life working for a university across the pond doing research, he was shocked to find that institutions of magic were largely institutionalized and easily available.
