Backstory
I can't really say I was surprised to get my letter, I mean, my dad is a wizard and my mom was a witch. She died when I was 7, but she was already showing me basic spells. Of course I didn't do any magic (on purpose anyway). When she died all the magic left with her. My dad is still a wizard, but he can't bring himself to use it. He wants nothing to do with it anymore, so he wasn't very happy about my acceptance into Hogwarts. I can't say I am either, considering now he's going to be home alone while I'm at school. Either than the whole leaving home aspect of Hogwarts, I am actually excited. My mom talked about it so much I already loved the place. I hope I'm sorted into Slytherin, just like my mother. I wouldn't mind being in Hufflepuff. My dad talked about it so passionately and it sounds like a nice enough group of people.
