Backstory
Name: Ellenora "Ellie" Wynne Larkin

Biography: Ellenora "Ellie" Wynne Larkin is the only daughter of a witch from an old Welsh bloodline; the family has fallen on hard times, and there are even whispers of their magic drying up. On a trip to America, Gwyneth Wynne met a wealthy Texas oil baron at a bar. The pair has a one-night stand which they both regretted in the morning... but there was no denying the fruit of their encounter. By the time Gwyneth returned to Wales, she was pregnant. (Her parents were livid. By Merlin, the disgrace to the family name!)
Harry Larkin did right by both Gwyneth and the newborn child; he sent her a healthy stipend each month, which allowed both her and newborn Ellie to live comfortably. Harry was actually thrilled to have a daughter. He travelled back and forth to Wales frequently, often bringing his little girl to Texas. Ellie grew up in two worlds: her mother's life, in a small Welsh town steeped in magical history -- and her father's, in a glossy penthouse in Galveston, Texas, living a muggle life. She could never quite... figure out the balance. Harry was never told about magic. For all he knew, his little daughter was a normal (albeit spoiled) child. Gwyn found herself resenting Ellie for the constant presents and attention doted on her by her father. As the little girl grew up, their relationship grew... stormy.
So, Ellie's a half-blood, a girl caught between two worlds. She's got rich magical blood in her veins, from the Wynne side of the family... and passionate, steady Larkin blood, from her father. The truth is, she loves magic, but she loves her father more. Deep down, she knows she'd give it all up and live a Muggle life... just to stay with him.
Physical Description: A prettily plump, rosy-cheeked girl with bright blue eyes and a warm smile. Her golden hair tends to be pulled back in a half-ponytail; it curls slightly, and if it's not out of her way, she might absently chew on a strand of hair. Better to keep it up. Her nails are always painted in cheerful pastel colors. She takes meticulous care of her appearance, styling herself in the mirror and making sure her robes are always straight. Ellie is quite interested in fashion, and wants to learn how to do makeup. Her greatest dread is one day getting pimples.
Mental Description: Ellie is bubbly, outgoing, a bit dreamy; she doesn't have an abundance of common sense, and trusts people easily. You could say she's lived a charmed life, and it shows. Although she's nice (never one to bully other students or talk behind people's backs) and compassionate, she's a bit self-absorbed --- so caught up in her own business, she doesn't notice when other people are struggling. She can be oblivious. Ellie loves fashion, dressing up and looking nice; she laughs easily, enjoys flirting, likes parties, and dreams of one day being a "fine lady" like her mother.
First Instance of Magic: As a child, she had stormy tantrums; at the age of six, while absolutely roaring crying, her screams made every mirror in the house crack. She was so surprised, her tantrum stopped dead in its tracks.
