Our final issue of the "Lumos Letters" has brought some heartwarming letters! It has been lovely to see both professors and students submit notes of thanks over this period. As we head into our last installment, please remember that all letters must be in English and must adhere to our Code of Conduct. We truly hope you have enjoyed reading and participating in the letters each week as much as we have!

Important Notes:
If a letter is addressed to you but you are uncomfortable with it, please immediately send a message to Professor Fayge to have it removed, no questions asked.
If you do not see your Lumos Letter or have any questions about the guidelines for this event, please contact any of the following members of the HiH Activity Team: Professor Fayge, Professor Montclam, or Madam Ambrose.

Dear Lavinia,
I hope your sabbatical is going well and that you are having a blast (and learning a lot too of course)! Your presence is missed around the castle and I can't help but feel like you would have enjoyed mine and Inarid's conversation the other day. I can't wait to hear back about your adventures when you return!
- Serafina
P.S. Thank you for the excuse to hang around the kitchens more often. Though I think the House Elves are suspicious of me sneaking out sweets to your Hufflepuffs!
Sera,
Thank you for your kind words — it is such a pleasure to be here. ✨ I hope you know how grateful I am to find myself learning something new from you in every conversation! Yes of course, I am more than happy to make a trip to your lab soon. In fact, I have a bit of holiday planning in mind.
*See* you soon,
- IF
To Sunny Crane,
You are the sweetest person that I’ve met at Hogwarts and I really enjoy our talks in the Discordian Castle. I hope to get to know you better in the coming months!
Sincerely,
Sammy Morse
P.S. My boyfriend convinced me to play FFXIV again and I think of your kitties every time I see the twins now!
Daiyu,
Thank you for that creative use of the -REDACTED- spell to keep Peeves occupied while I prepare. You're always full of brilliant ideas. I'm going to inspect those stones of yours on Thursday and I plan to bring — was it you who had a craving for Bandoffee Tart? Well, I suppose you do now. I'll stop by soon!
With gratitude,
- IF
Vaylen,
It's been too long since I've made my way to the Dungeons, but I promise to do so soon — perhaps I'll bring my newest batch of cider! I would like to thank you for your hand in the fate that brought me back to the castle. I will forever appreciate it.
- IF
P.S. I did not foresee your cookie decorating talents! What a wonderful night.
Dear Robert,
You are such a light in the staff room. I hardly ever see you out of the Astronomy Tower, but I always enjoy our conversations where you're sharing your creativity and musical talents. Thank you for always being prompt and reminding me of deadlines. My brain is in a state of chaos at all times so I do appreciate the reminders.
- Serafina
Students,
I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to guide your education in the divinatory arts. It is humbling to hear your astute insights, to witness your curiosity and fascination, and to See the connections you make — both to the material and with others. Please continue to share your experiences and growth. With gratitude,
- Professor Fayge ✨
To my MARTists - Leah, Sammy, and Lexie,
Thank you all for your support and staying on top of the queues! I know those Y6+ queues aren't the busiest, but it is such a relief to know everything is in good hands with you all. You all are wonderful and thank you for everything you do!
Professor Rosenquist
Lavinia,
Ah, how exciting! I hope you've been pondering on your question for the statues. I am already grateful for the updates. I may not have been able to help you pack, but I trust you found the small assortment of snacks — as long as you save the lemon one for last, you should have no issue. Travel safely so we can enjoy a chocolate wand together upon your return!
With everlasting gratitude,
- IF
To my Alchemy team - Elizabeth and Sammy,
I appreciate you both for sticking with me over I believe the past ten years now! Thank you both for everything that you do and I hope to work with you both for more years to come!
Professor Rosenquist
Robert,
Thank you for your recent contributions for the Event Committee. I must admit that I am quite excited to see how this one "plays" out. Please enjoy this batch of Gooseberry Gibbous toffee as a token of our gratitude.
With thanks,
- IF
Dear Epona,
As always, it's a joy whenever we have lunch together. I suppose we're both a little busier now with our new duties, but it's nice to take a break and chat every once in a while. Plus, no one else quite understands my rants about Måns Zelmerlöw like you do!
Don't work too hard,
- Serafina

What are “Lumos Letters”?
Each week of November, we have published a collection of appreciation letters in a special series of articles in the HiH Newsroom. You were able to write to staff, classmates, groups, or anyone who has made your HiH experience magical. We truly hoped you enjoyed participating in this activity as much as we've enjoyed reading the letters each week!
