Backstory

The effect of Lord Voldemort's rise back to power and his subsequent defeat in 1998 was enormous. Growing up, I had no idea the ramifications of it had caused me and countless other children to be wiped from Magical records and never receive our acceptance letters to our magical institutes. Of course, I knew about the magical world, my mother being a witch herself, but her estrangement to the Pureblood side of her family and her marriage to my muggle father had labeled her a "blood traitor", so my acceptance at any school was out of the question. I was thrilled to find this remote way of making up for my lack of early education and still keep my adult responsibilities handled at the same time. I was accepted into my mother's old house, Slytherin, which thrills me. I hope to fill the gaps in my knowledge and catch up with the rest of the magical world now.
