The train doors opened and the cool air swarmed around me. "Ah, London." I sighed and looked around. The people bustled about minding their own business. I checked my watch, I still had about an hour before I had to be on the platform. I collected my things and started walking around the station trying to find a bench to sit down on close to where platforms 9 and 10 meet. I was very excited to be starting my first year at Hogwarts. When my letter came I was overjoyed and knew I was going to have a great year. This past summer my mum and I went to London for the first time in 4 years. Though we live in England, we lived far from London and it took us quite a while to arrive. We walked into the Leaky Cauldron on pure gut and we were instantly faced with people drinking and laughing like a normal pub. As I was about to walk out again a man behind the counter stopped me. "Miss if you're looking for Diagon Alley, go into the alleyway." I followed his instructions and a man twice my size was standing there with a rusty and crooked umbrella. "ello, me name is Hagrid. Lurkin' fer Diagon Alley?" "Yes, sir." He took his umbrella and tapped the brick wall. It opened up and a street full of bustling people in long robes were scurrying about. "oh one mer thing berfer you go, you need ter trade yer muggle money fer the wizard money. to do that yer need ter go to Gringotts. trust me yer won't miss it." The first thing my mum and I did was follow his instructions. We then proceeded to buy a wand, my happens to be an Acacia wood with a Dragon heartstring core, 12 3/4" with brittle flexibility. I got a cat too, a beautiful black cat (I named her luna). For the rest of that trip, we picked up the rest of my necessities and went to eat lunch. I brought myself back to reality with the beeping of the timer on my watch. It was time to board platform 9 3/4. I looked around for anyone else who seemed to be looking for the platform. I noticed a woman with 2 sons and a daughter. They seemed to be quite older but the girl looked closer to my age. With no trouble, they walked through the BRICK WALL. On a whim, I decided to follow them. I collected my stuff and closed my eyes running through the wall, surprisingly, I ran out to another platform. I opened my eyes and children and their parents were hugging and running about. There were hundreds of people and kids boarding a train that was truly magical. I went over to the train and climbed aboard, I didn't have anyone to say goodbye too because my mum and dad were working. I walked down the corridors of the train looking for an empty booth. After walking for a minute I noticed an almost empty car. There was a girl my age, blonde hair, and a little scar in her eyebrow. "Hello, my name is Lillian" I smiled my best smile. "Hey, my name is Eris."

This is my story. I'm a muggle born wizard, from the countryside. The sorting hat told me I was a perfect match for Slytherin. I'm excited for what the future holds in the wizarding world. For the muggle side of things, I have no siblings and way too busy parents, I practically live with my grandma. I quickly heard the stories of the legendary Harry Potter from his son (he's a few years above me) and his daughter (she's only a year above me). So far I have many friends and I'm becoming invested in my studies. Hopefully, my time here is well spent. All I have to say is, "Hello!"
