Magical Beast Groomer
My name is Sam.
I was born in the muggle world. My car did not fly, my mail is electronic, and my chopsticks don't cast spells. My father, who prefers me to call him Jinn, treats magic like it will run out. He refused to let me practice before I went to school in Europe. As you can probably imagine, I'm not great at it. I try to study hard and as much as possible but I can't seem to give up old habits. So I'm 17. And I know how to lift a feather with my wand. But that is about it so far.
I love animals. Always have. And now I'm learning to love magical beasts as well. I have to work to support my family, so I started grooming beasts for creature owners. It pays well, and I get to study as I do it. I am having trouble adjusting to this magical world though. I do not like the way owls are treated as mail carriers. And how house elves are treated as slaves. It is hard to participate in a class that turns their pets into inanimate objects.
“If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.” -Sirius Black
I don't have a lot of friends yet. It is difficult when you grew up in a different world. But I try to find people who won't judge me for who I am. I am half Japanese. I am tatted. I have bad habits like smoking and drinking. I am scared of balloons and aliens. I am pretty sure I am gay. I like Dnd, video games, and comics. I have a broken little family. And I spend a lot of time working. So, get to know me if you dare, I guess.
