The day I got my Hogwarts acceptance letter was the best day of my life. As the granddaughter of Madame Malkin of Madam Malkin's Robes for all Occasions in Diagon Alley, I was already emersed in the wizarding world, but going to Hogwarts was still my dream. My biggest worry growing up, was that I was a squib and would never be able to attend. With two other siblings, it was hard to tell exactly who caused magic to present itself, and I never had clear confirmation of my talents. Then, one day, an owl flew into our house, brandishing a small envelope with my name written on the front. I was so excited I nearly squeezed the poor bird to death.
Diagon Alley is, by far, best experienced when shopping for school supplies. I had been there before I turned 11, but it is so much more exciting when choosing your own wand and robes. My wand, by the way, is an 11" rowan wand with a phoenix feather core. I was also sorted into Ravenclaw house.
