Backstory

I was sorted into Ravenclaw because the Sorting Hat found I was clever, possessed quick wit, and incredibly creative. The decision was made almost immediately, after a few moments the Sorting Hat said my mind felt like a sponge, ready to soak up every bit of knowledge I could get my hands on. I like almost every class, and I try to take as many courses as I can. I did well in all classes, though I didn't particularly do well in any course designed with agility in mind. I can be quite clumsy. So much so, that my grand-dad nicknamed me Grace. I am a pureblood, though I don't follow the belief that my blood status grants me superiority over those muggleborn or halfbloods. I was too young to remember much of the time He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named rose to power, but I know that my parents were terrified. My greatest strength is my mind, but my greatest weakness is my mouth. I sometimes say what I am thinking out loud without realizing. When I leave Hogwarts, I will travel the world some. Perhaps I will visit other Wizarding schools and see if I can learn more out in the wide world. I will one day return to Hogwarts, where I plan to become a professor. I feel the most fascinating aspect of magic is ability to use ones mind to create something from nothing. I want to use magic to help others, and to further my own ends. If I am being honest with myself, what I really want is to have a large family, one that I can pass down my wisdom to. I have one pet that I brought with me to Hogwarts; Priscilla. She is cuddly, sweet, Siamese kitten who loves to sit next to me while I study. I come from a large family, though most everyone was placed in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. I am the only Ravenclaw, like my great-grandma.
