I'm a half-blood, my mother being a Witch and my father being aware of that. For that reason, he left when I was very young, although it didn't affect me much. Despite having no father, I was very happy. My mother would always support me in any way she could. I became enchanted by magical creatures, I drew them, had dreams about them, talked all the time about them, and learned about them. Unfortunatley, I couldn't actually meet one, and the closest I've gotten was a cat with two tails. Eventually we moved to England, and everything was different. From then on my mother told me about how her grandmother went to hogwarts and how the wizarding school in the Philippines was nothing like it. Due to us moving to England at a very young age, I never actually learned my native language. On my eleventh birthday, my mother opened all the windows and seemed both happy and sad. I knew why, and I felt the same. We celebrated, and soon after a while an owl flew in, holding a letter. We all knew what it was. I got a black cat (I've always wanted one) and all the essentials, and she followed me to the train. We said goodbye and I arrived at Hogwarts at last. My mother walways thought I would land on Ravenclaw, but she was proud to learn that I was a Hufflepuff. (Sorry for the cliche/boring story.)
